The Cardinal answered that as a member of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith he has been part of the study conducted on the Medjugorje phenomenon and pointed out that it was significant that Pope Francis had requested the Commission’s completed study before the CDF deliberated on the outcome – because the Pope is keen on everything related to Medjugorje.

.. the Faulty Analogy and the use of selective observation are irreducibly evident..and after a minimal amount of reasonable deliberation one is better able to see there are more DIFFERENCES between MEDJUGORJE and the DIVINE MERCY phenomenon..than  are there similarities...

..and so one strains the imagination in awe..that such a high ranking official of the Catholic Church could be so cursory with his discernment...indeed it is as if the Church were condoning the attitude that as long as good comes from officious lies and detractions that all is well..since God will sort it right in the end..yet this is the anti-thesis to the spirit the Church has been founded...the Catholic Church is not a utilitarian consequentialist organization...the Church stands for the ideals of the eternal law..and all the principles for Godly living are contained within her borders...the CHurch is not built upon the liar's paradox...

..to lie and deceive in order to bring about good is a dialetheism..this is a paradox...in short we are told in order to be sinless we must sin..indeed the sincere credulous faithful do not knowingly sin..yet they do it through tacit complicity...by becoming an accessory to the disobedience of the seers...namely through praise, consent, concealment, partaking & through defence of the evil done against the Good Bishop of MEDJUGORJE....

 

..for since evil has no formal cause.. evil is the result of a good creature not acting according to the good for which it was created..and so falls short of its purpose.. so there is no final cause for evil either which is a purely evil construct..since for evil to exist it must be admixed with a good..for as was said evil has no form..since evil itself is a lack of form...evil is a privation of the good..the only way in which evil can bring about anything good is incidentally...such as when a man runs from a burning house to save his life..or he shows great valour by running into a house which is burning to save others..the evil is not the cause formally ..but only the instrument used to evince the good..and so too with MEDJUGORJE..the phenomenon itself is tainted with inscrutable irreconcilable contradictions yet the faith of sincere individuals has gleaned good from this spiritual burning house..so to speak...

..true our salvation does not depend on private revelations..and so the Church will not fall if MEDJUGORJE is afforded shrine status as a Pastoral addendum..for the Church has not attempted to change the deposit of faith..still we cannot compromise the Church’s ideology..if we do… a creeping syncretic element will have won..as a matter of principle we are not to do wrong so that a good may come out of it…by issuing shrine status here we are lauding all the disobedience which has occurred throughout the history of this phenomenon.. this is a bad example the Catholic Church will be promulgating… as the Bastion and Champion of TRUTH…we would expect more integrity of mind & tenacity in the face of whimsical faddishism

..this being a tenet of the universal and extraordinary magisterium is binding..however since those who through no fault of their own adhere to another religion but who seek God with a sincere heart and or perfect contrition may not be precluded we should note that schismatics, those who have deliberately cut themselves off from the temporal head of the Church the Pope by ignoring seminal canons (ie  823) and who willfully disobey CDF decrees and local Ordinarial directives may be in grave danger of fracture from the bosom of the Church....

 

..ignorance is no excuse and is removable if through reasonable diligence a conscientious person had shown sincere resolve & deliberation in seeking answers to matters which regarded the fate of one's eternal salvation according to their intellectual capacity and or conditioned customs and available resources...however if through innocent ignorance one was not baptised but would have been baptized had they known then such a desire would not disregard one from salvation (CC1260)

 ...according to theologians the human soul requires virtue in order that it may achieve and persist in any good work...as the apostle has told us we as Christians must work out our salvation with fear and trembling...in due course in order that we achieve this adjuration of the apostle we need to concentrate on the attainment of virtue...now of the four cardinal virtues of fortitude, justice, temperance, and prudence this verse will deal with the importance of fortitude in a summary manner...

 ...if one wishes to be good and to rest in God and have God be one’s final cause it follows that an appeal to reason is necessary..since God making man in his own image has supplied man with the tools of reason exercised through the intellect and freedom of will....now in order to bring one’s work in accordance with reason one must remove the disinclination of the will to follow  a precept that is in accord with reason...in MEDJUGORJE we see proponents are disinclined to follow a reasonable judgement of a Church authority...and so the work here requires the removal of this obstacle or difficulty...now this requires Holy fortitude of the mind....

 .since in general Holy fortitude removes any adversity or obstacle which withdraws a soul from acting without reason...and so fortitude is mainly concerned with removing the fear associated with placing one’s will in the hands of an accomplished authority(local Ordinary) and in taming one’s will from the temptation to be daring and reckless hence acting in an illogical unreasonable manner...this is how fortitude works in conjuction of the virtues to keep us in the straight path...

 ...since fortitude denotes a firmness of mind and patience in adversity the opposite of this virtue is obstinancy which affixes the will and the intellect to unreasonableness...and this we see happening in MEDJUGORJE...it is indeed unreasonable to vouchsafe one’s prerogative over and above a regular Ordinary in good standing and to vault oneself over a Vatican decree...if  we see that holy fortitude removes the obstacles that cause the will to act without reason then we may say that in MEDJUGORJE among its proponents the virtue of Holy fortitude is lacking in this respect...however we see some in MEDJUGORJE who out of ignorance, passion or quest for a great reward unwittingly display  some semblance of fortitude in their outward pious exercises ..and this contrary to the virtue of Holy fortitude is a kind of spiritual concupiscience ...a lust after spiritual goods..or spiritual gluttony...self -serving insouciant niggardliness...we may safely say that interiorly this virtue of Holy fortitude is lacking at MEDJUGORJE in general....

 ..if one is engendered of fortitude they will have  patience and accept what the Bishops say & the courage to walk in the faith of the fathers of the Church otherwise being obstinate.. slave to wrath and rancor brought about by the  inflamed irascible passions divorced of reason....faith without reason is blind (religious fundamentalism)...

 

..let us see what the saints have to say about the virtue of Holy Fortitude.....

 

"What shall I say of fortitude, without which neither wisdom nor justice is of any worth? Fortitude is not of the body, but is a constancy of soul; wherewith we are conquerors in righteousness, patiently bear all adversities, and in prosperity are not puffed up. This fortitude he lacks who is overcome by pride, anger, greed, drunkenness, and the like. Neither have they fortitude who when in adversity make shift to escape at their souls' expense; wherefore the Lord saith, 'Fear not those who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul.' ..in ethics the concept of humility denotes one’s modest sense of self-worth...and upon the measure of how ardently they seek submission to others out of charity and with a view to unity of final cause...the humble serve the Church the proud serve themselves and their own tempestuous emotionality...in this sense no-one may humiliate another unless they ascribe to selfish ends then by participation in scandal they damage the mystical body of Christ...in the end such a person humiliates themselves and brings misery and travail upon the Church itself....

 

...as we see in MEDJUGORJE among the proponents and among the maverick seers themselves the concept of humility has not been explicated according to the examples of the saints...in MEDJUGORJE holy humility has been replaced by duplicity and arrogant self-importance...many adherents say all the outward exercises at MEDJUGORJE have brought about a hale and edifying aspect to their spirit however such people are working on emotional motives which are outward...if operating on the spiritual aspect inwardly one may easily see that there is no humility in all these exercises...since as animate rational beings we are composite in nature..our substantial core (inward) is spiritual a soul...our outward form is expressed in flesh and governed by (emotions) appetites ..hence what we see at MEDJUGORJE in many adherents is just pretentious spiritual guile....

 

...accordingly it befits one who is humble not to wish to acquire any office which is above such a one....the concept of vocation comes into play all the more in this circumstance...accordingly we see in MEDJUGORJE that many have taken it upon themselves as experts in the spiritual life to discern the phenomenon at MEDJUGORJE as being truly supernatural..however  according to the Church this is not the case....it is also contrary to humility to attach one’s cognitive reason to their own powers  and in this manner confide in one’s own particular judgement concerning public matters without conferring on the aid of God and his grace...in this way one through holy humility subjects themselves to God’s help and so a person who relies on God more is enlightened and raised up in God’s eyes all the more...

...we see this is not occurring in MEDJUGORJE as people are relying on their own judgements and not relying on the Church of Christ and her bishops and her magisterium to make the way straight....since God has set up a visible Church we are bound by holy prudence to follow it and consent to the Church’s decrees...prudence temperance justice fortitude..the cardinal virtues working together in unity of the mystical body of Christ..this is how we identify true apparitions from falsehood....

...from the phenomenon at MEDJUGORJE we hear from the proponents that proximate to the spirit of Vatican 2 we have a new Byzantium arising from the ashes of communist oppression...however since we have no conjunction with apostolic authority or any official recognition from the Vatican itself we have a new sect of spiritual hooligans running amok claiming a tenure on gifts and charisms which until now have never been officially recognized as supernatural in origin...in fact MEDJUGORJE is the new Jansenism....

 

 ..just as the Jansenists were adamant that their peculiar form of Catholicism complete with a skewed sense of man’s fallen state and his subsequent reliance on merit and demerit based solely on interior necessity which destroys the notion of free will and makes God capable of willing damnation on individuals..we see too in MEDJUGORJE that the emotion involved constitutes a condition where individuals are making choices based entirely on the interior necessity for maximum pleasure...which in this instance is outside the bounds of reason as dictated by the authority in this place which has issued a negative judgement...so indeed what the proponents of MEDJUGORJE are doing is subordinating their will to the external coercion of false truths as conveyed by the purveyors of the messages of MEDJUGORJE against the will of God who has spoken through his bishop.....

 

....just as the Jansenists perverted the teachings of St. Augustine and thusly usurped truth by the inculcation of falsehood and arrogantly passing it off as the genuine article..indeed by telling a lie long enough and to a substantial amount of the population is indeed propaganda not prophecy...so too the proponents of MEDJUGORJE attempt in vain to misinterpret and misconstrue every document relating to the importance of Church authority for their sole benefit just so they can affirm their insidious agenda of self aggrandizement....

 

 ..indeed just as a temporal mother can raise up a child in her arms so that he may walk it is still the child’s choice to walk or to not walk...God too can raise an individual since God is closer to us than we are to ourselves...God can raise the interior will of a person so that he may be illuminated to see the right course of action yet still it is up to the individual to make that free choice...indeed it is contradictory of God to illuminate an individual to premove it against church authority...

 

 ...so we see at this place we have a form of spiritual hooliganism where individuals are acting on repressed psychosocial dysfunctions to rule and control outside of the norm hence the blossoming of pride and presumption...through their unbridaled desires they seek to control the workings of the spirit and of the church to sway these works to their own justification...

 

 ..indeed the bywords for the anarchical hooligan we see here that at MEDJUGORJE we have the same spirit at work...

 

..if one makes a parallel between the far right activist a sports hooligan and a spiritual zealot we see that through reversal theory which attempts to explain why a person can behave in a similar manner in two instances but have opposite urges for acting in this manner....we see of the four types of motivational states the telic-paratelic (goal seeking/rebellious) is associated with the hooligan mentality....as we see in MEDJUGORJE sometimes people are calm yet at other times they are spun into an emotional frenzy (ie slain in the spirit)...or claim a quasi miraculous religious experience ....when an individual who is predilected by their nature is exposed to a circumstance which involves high hedonic overtones(pleasant state of arousal)...for example many people praying the rosary together and attending confession and mass presents a circumstance of high hedonic overtones and so such individuals tend to overcompensate and feel the spirit moving so to speak.....

 

 ....in such an individual who is prone to a particular emotional profile there is a need for compensation between the boredom associated with life’s rigours and so we have spiritual hooliganism as a compensated state..such a person seeks the thrill of defying authority to depose the boredom of a life of quiet desperation....a parallel between sports hooliganism may be seen where during a soccer match since the play is drawn out and at times boring yet the expectations run high that the hooligan may overcompensate and undermine the goal seeking with the rebellious nature.....indeed let us hope God will lead all into the true church united under a true spirituality in the final analysis .....amen
