MEDJUGORJE PILGRIMAGE| MANY ARE CALLED YET FEW ARE CHOSEN???

MEDJUGORJE PILGRIMAGE ..MANY ARE CALLED YET FEW ARE CHOSEN???

..its true some have boasted they have traveled to MEDJUGORJE numerous times in an effort to hale the spiritual health...

..yet the price of air fare can be prohibitive to some making such a foray from far off lands only a dream...

...I am sure Jesus never meant the cost of grace to be so monetarily rare..since in the New Testament it tells us...

22:17 And the spirit and the bride say: Come. And he that heareth, let him say: Come. And he that thirsteth, let him come: and he that will, let him take the water of life, freely
-Revelation 22:17 (Doauy Rheims)

..and so contradictory to the Gospel of Christ we have those who are missing out on great graces we are told by Medjugorje Promoters...... and so God is not just since we see there are
those who won’t be going on Pilgrimage to MEDJUGORJE because  of pecuniary reasons...

..and so they have missed out on the gifts of God...

......& so this begs the question is God unfair since we see many cannot afford to travel to Medjugorje... so those people who are economically able are part of the predestined few who are to reap the benfits of MEDJUGORJE?????...we can see that such favouritism  is repugnant to the equanimous equitable heart of God whose grace is rendered freely to all not just those who can afford it....Medjugorje in fact is targeted at a wealthy demographic who as a result of spiritual pride have shunned the true way of the Gospel turning their backs on their neighbour who through the precepts of Charity they should be aiming at winning so that we all should dwell in God univocally  by finding Christ in the poor and ministering in a theologically apposite manner...through the treatise of the Gospel

..here are some of the OTHERS who will not be flying to MEDJUGORJE because they are not chosen by our LADY or called as some fanatical supporters fatuously testify....

[9] For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that being rich he became poor, for your sakes; that through his poverty you might be rich.
-2 Corinthians 8:9  (Douay Rheims)

..let us find Christ in the poor by supporting our local Church Organizations such as Saint Vincent DePaul or the Knights of Columbus instead of wasting money going on Pilgrimage to unapproved apparition sites such as MEDJUGORJE...amen

MEDJUGORJE DISOBEDIENCE: THE DUPLICITOUS MESSAGES OF GOSPA

MEDJUGORJE PILGRIMAGES: The DUPLICITOUS MESSAGE of GOSPA

..according to the seers the GOSPA of MEDJUGORJE has said ... Catholics of good conscience and people of all creeds are called to conversion of heart, prayer and fasting...practical prayer as well as a salutary disposition of soul and mind...fasting not only in a corporal sense but also fasting of the reason and desires..to exercise prudence and temperance..which of course we do not see at MEDJUGORJE since the proponents have failed to obey the Agency and agents of God in his Church ..the successors to the apostles...

...if one examines the messages more closely and uses the scriptures as a mirror of discernment along with the laws of love as they are evinced through the dogmas and traditions of the Church and the exhortations of the bishops in good standing we see that there are many contradictions...

April 25, 1994 "Dear children! Today I invite you to decide to pray according to my intention. Little children, I invite each one of you to help my plan to be realized through this parish. Now I invite you in a special way, little children, to decide to go along the way of holiness. Only this way will you be close to me. I love you and I desire to conduct you all with me to Paradise. But, if you do not pray and if you are not humble and obedient to the messages which I am giving you, I cannot help you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

..according to this message the GOSPA is instigating rebellion and insubordination to the local Ordinary( the Bishop)..as well as the Bishops of Zadar as well as the CDF ... it was the Bishop in good standing who has cautioned and indeed ordered that the dissemination of any messages be not made or attributed to the Mother of God... the Zadar Bishops and the CDF have concurred...indeed how is one to walk the paths of holiness if they have not the humility to trust the Shepherds of the Church..as well how can one reconcile the fact that the Gospa herself is contradicting an order of her Son...this order is to obey the Bishops who are not purveying any sinful decree...

[10]And thou shalt do whatsoever they shall say, that preside in the place, which the Lord shall choose, and what they shall teach thee,

[8] If thou perceive: Here we see what authority God was pleased to give to the church guides of the Old Testament, in deciding, without appeal, all controversies relating to the law; promising that they should not err therein; and surely he has not done less for the church guides of the New Testament.

[11]According to his law; and thou shalt follow their sentence: neither shalt thou decline to the right hand nor to the left hand. [12] But he that will be proud, and refuse to obey the commandment of the priest, who ministereth at that time to the Lord thy God, and the decree of the judge, that man shall die, and thou shalt take away the evil from Israel: [13] And all the people hearing it shall fear, that no one afterwards swell with pride

Deuteronomy 17:10-13

..so we see from scripture that defying a bishop in good standing provides an occaision of placing one’s soul in grave danger from spiritual death...

[20] Amen, amen I say to you, he that receiveth whomsoever I send, receiveth me; and he that receiveth me, receiveth him that sent me.

John 13:20

10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil. Whosoever is not just is not of God, or he that loveth not his brother.

1 John 3:10

....of course in order to be just one must be fair and give everyone their rightful due..and when we disrespect the wishes of a Shepherd of God the local Bishop then we are not practicing justice and equanimity...are we showing love to the local Bishop whose mission is to protect us from error when we proceed in a spirit of public disdain for his witness and ignore his pleas...

....as well we have the Catechism of the Church as a sure guide...

CCC 896, “Let all follow the bishop, as Jesus Christ follows his Father, and the college of presbyters as the apostles; respect the deacons as you do God's law. Let no one do anything concerning the Church in separation from the bishop."

....of course the Gospa wants all to follow her message but not to follow the advice of the local Bishop...or the advice of the Zadar Commission or the advice of the CDF who have told the faithful to stop presuming the credibility of any apparition publicly....

..this is just one message of thousands and in other mesages the GOSPA advises prayer for God’s priests however if one does not obey the priests and bishops and become a vehicle for God’s grace through practical prayer which is done by following an agent of God’s commands then prayer indeed does not actuate its full potential since obstinate supplicants thwart the efficacy of God’s grace...through obedience we attain unity....

As Thomas Aquinas wisely says...

..such people are viewed as fanatics who try to bend everyone to their whim rather than trying to accept each person for their deficiencies as God accepts us all..and to work to create unity of cause...indeed not all faithful are called to pray, fast, read the bible and go to mass every day...some do more some do less..however if we keep up with our obligations and live the law of love as Jesus says..to love one another as i have loved you..this is the chief commandment..a shortcut to heaven..indeed one must not neglect the sacraments however one is not required to pray, fast and attend confession (unless in a state of mortal sin) under a strict regime unless they are in a religious vocation....it is bewildering to watch as many proponents adopt a Pharisiacal attitude that they are more Holy since they pray and fast and Go to mass every day..however this is the spirit which Jesus rebukes...

..so we see adherents at MEDJUGORJE praying so that the Bishop change his stance and accept the messages of the GOSPA yet this is unwise and definately contrary to the will of God who exhorts us to be loving and kind and in humility submit to the advice of our spiritual Fathers who are not espousing sin....this is the type of fanaticism petulance and hypocrisy which makes all Chirstians look bad..indeed this type of attitude is an enemy to peace since such a one is still absorbed in their own prerogatives and not resigned to take up the cross and follow Christ..the cross of human suffering..indeed no one can carry Christ's cross yet we all can carry a small portion of it as the apostle exhorts us in the Gospel where he mentions ...
24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up those things that are wanting of the sufferings of Christ, in my flesh, for his body, which is the church:
Colossians 1:24

April 25, 1996 "Dear children! Today I invite you again to put prayer in the first place in your families. Little children, when God is in the first place, then you will, in all that you do, seek the will of God. In this way your daily conversion will become easier. Little children, seek with humility that which is not in order in your hearts, and you shall understand what you have to do. Conversion will become a daily duty that you will do with joy. Little children, I am with you, I bless you all and I invite you to become my witnesses by prayer and personal conversion. Thank you for having responded to my call."

..from another message we are purportedly told by the GOSPA to put GOD first...if we do not listen to his agents...the Bishops and the CDF then we are not explicitly putting GOD first..we are subjugating GOD to the urges of our own desires and our own will...and so the GOSPA herself is espousing a duplicitous spirituality which is not sincerely seeking unity....let us all examine ourselves through a spirit of contrition and by the principles of philia and agape love so that we may not be a slave to our own spiritually erotic desires ...let us strive for a rational love ...amen

MEDJUGORJE PILGRIMAGE: HOLY TEMPERANCE & HOLY FEAR

MEDJUGORJE PILGRIMAGE: HOLY TEMPERANCE & HOLY FEAR

..from the latin temperare or to mix in proportionate equity...Temperance as a virtue gives one the means by which one may regulate their natural appetite for sensible pleasure according to proper reason....

..without temperance one falls prey to impetuosity, inordinate zeal, and finally one becomes bold with God and falls into all sorts of errors of reason...such a person claims to know God’s will believes they are saved through irresistible grace or readily adopts unseemly habits such as spiritual gluttony or presumption....

...temperance informs the will as to how moderately one should cleave to the object of the desire of the appetite.... and so temperance helps control the amount of pleasure or delight the human heart may be attracted to...temperance also reigns concupiscence which owing to the first sin of Adam we are prone to out of habit as a frailty of our fallen nature....

..without temperance one cannot practice holy fear ....as it says in scripture..

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A good understanding to all that do it: his praise continueth for ever and ever.

                                       -Psalm 110:10 Douay Rheims

...without Holy fear one cannot practice chastity of the senses or modesty of the spirit...in short one becomes bold with God through presumption and feels they are duly appointed to be the objective judge of right and wrong by their own subjective reasoning..such a one will eventually come to dissidence with the established doctrines and the traditions of the magisterium....

As John of the cross says about lack of Holy Fear...

"... the devil causes many to believe in vain visions and false prophecies; and strives to make them presume that God and the saints are speaking with them; and they often trust their own fancy. And the devil is also accustomed, in this state, to fill them with presumption and pride, so that they become attracted by vanity and arrogance, and allow themselves to be seen engaging in outward acts which appear holy, such as raptures and other manifestations. Thus they become bold with God, and lose holy fear, which is the key
and custodian of all the virtues; and in some of these souls so many are the falsehoods and deceits which tend to multiply, and so inveterate do they grow, that it is very doubtful if such souls will return to the pure road of virtue and true spirituality."

..and so this is why it is said that of the four cardinal virtues  Holy Temperance ensconces one to acts of humility and moves one to trust in God’s ministers...of course Temperance also guards one against pride and affords the proper action of reason in all circumstances..as it was often said by a wise spiritual advisor..we are called to follow the divine master himself (Jesus) to be aimiable and just in all our dealings and to seek moderation and balance in life...John the Baptist with his animal hides and wild honey demeanour as a harbinger of Christ is a good model for those who choose a life of heroic virtue however as workers in the vineyard of the active life using the model of Christ as a balanced courteous shepherd to all is a more prudent guide to spiritual health....

..now let us see what the wise spiritual saints have to say about the virtue of Temperance.....

From: The Adornment of the Spiritual Marriage:

By inward and ghostly temperance and sobriety a man preserves firmness and constancy of faith, purity of intelligence, that tranquillity of reason necessary to the comprehension of truth, an impulse towards all virtues according to the will of God, peace of heart, and serenity of conscience. And herewith he possesses an enduring peace, in God and in himself.........

.........From this zeal there spring temperance and sobriety, both inward and outward; for none can possess the right measure of sobriety save him who is greatly zealous and diligent to keep his soul and body in righteousness. Sobriety divides the higher powers from the animal powers; it saves a man from intemperance and from excess. Sobriety wishes neither to taste, nor to know, those things which are forbidden

-Jan Van Ruysbroeck

"Virtues are formed by prayer. Prayer preserves temperance. Prayer suppresses anger. Prayer prevents emotions of pride and envy. Prayer draws into the soul the Holy Spirit, and raises man to Heaven."

-- St. Ephraim the Syrian

Abba Pambo asked Abba Anthony, 'What ought I to

do?' and the old man said to him 'Do not trust in your own

righteousness do not worry about the past, but control your tongue and your stomach...

-St. Anthony of the desert

...the little bit of wood that is used to prod the vine

branches when they are burning is consumed utterly in likeness by being entirely burnt up by the fire; in the same way, man purifies his soul in the fear of God, and the fear of God controls the appetites and burns up his body..leaving the spirit clean..

-Abba Macarius the Egyptian

…Temperance also has a corresponding gift, namely, fear, whereby man is withheld from the pleasures of the flesh, according to Psalm 118:120: "Pierce Thou my flesh with Thy fear." The gift of fear has for its principal object God, Whom it avoids offending, and in this respect it corresponds to the virtue of hope, as stated above (19, 09, ad 1). But it may have for its secondary object whatever a man shuns in order to avoid offending God. Now man stands in the greatest need of the fear of God in order to shun those things which are most seductive, and these are the matter of temperance: wherefore the gift of fear corresponds to temperance also…..

-Thoma Aquinas-Summa Theologica(Question 141. Temperance, Article 1. Whether Temperance is a virtue, reply to objection 3)
