..Echoing Saint John of the Cross...Pope Francis in his most recent public pastoral rebuke of those who embrace novelties ahead of the WORD of God had this to say...
In his homily, Francis dismissed those "who always need novelty in their Christian identity" and say: "But where are the visionaries who tell us today about 'The letter that the Madonna will send tomorrow at 4 p.m.?'"
...Saint John of the Cross centuries earlier had this to say concerning those people who traipse after visions and locutions as a substitute for the Word of God as inspired in the Gospel
Any person questioning God or desiring some vision or revelation would not only be guilty of foolish behavior but also of offending him, by not fixing his eyes entirely upon Christ and by living with the desire for some other novelty"

....let the discerning prudent reader notice the parallels among the two commentaries...a noted Doctor of the Church has been echoed through the modern words of Pope Francis...it is not spiritually healthy to repine in visions and locutions which the Church has never validated...especially in the case of MEDJUGORJE...where two successive Bishops in good standing have evidentially stated...not supernatural....amen
